프리즈 (Peu-ri-jeu) FREEZE (mini drama)
Last night was the first episode of FREEZE (out of five). This was broadcast in October 2006 on a Korean cable channel (not the big guns SBS, KBS, MBC) and it is a short mini drama with five episodes and it chronicles around a vampire. Yes, a vampire, not a topic I see in alot of Korean dramas actually.
So Baek Jung Won (Lee Seo Jin---Phoenix) stars as a vampire who lives in modern day Seoul as one of the co-owners of a very upscale Gangnam district bar. He lives his life lamenting over a lost love for many decades. E-hwa (Son Tae Young) is another vampire and she also owns the bar wtih Jung Won. She cares for him and wants him to be happy but she realizes she is unable to make him happy. One day,the lovely Ji-Woo (Park Han Byul) enters his life and she might be able to melt the icy wall around his heart. She is the daughter of a woman who loved Jung Won deeply but decides to leave guardianship of Ji Woo to Jung Won.
***I had high hopes for an awesome short drama. I was not that enthused. My expectations were let down to say. I felt the relationship not that believable for me to get it. Oh well.
